thisdayforward Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 My ex-BF and I have been in the break-up process for about one month now. When I'm away from him, I'm generally fine with everything...but the tough thing is we go to school together and I have to see him every day. Every time I see him, I just want to jump his bones. I have this physical connection to him like I have never had with anyone in my life. Fortunately, the semester is over in two weeks and I'll have the summer off from seeing him (so long as I don't contact him or respond to his attempts to contact me). Any tips for the meantime?
monkeymaid Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 buy a vibrator do you pounce on every hot guy you see?? then just dont act on anything with him. self control ftmfw!!!
carhill Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 When I'm away from him, I'm generally fine with everything This tells me you have little to no emotional connection and, with NC, the brain chemistry of the physical will subside over time. Check back with us after the summer of no contact and meeting other young men. My bet is you'll be fine

Yea....been thinking I need to start using my vibrator again. And yea....at one point in my life I did pounce on every hot guy I saw. I'm lucky I'm still healthy. That was a long time ago. That part of me resurfaced recently and I'm trying to change it.

Earlier in our relationship, I felt something was lacking there. We were always great at talking, and as I struggled through some big changes in my life, he was great at listening to me and helping me understand them. But it was always more like coaching. Being a good coach is a good quality, but I do want something deeper when it comes to an emotional connection. And I can't really name ways in which we connected emotionally. I think I've been confusing this great physical chemistry for something more...
