I think that's a pretty weak argument.

The poll sounds a bit weird too. We have lots of imigration, it's made our country what it is today.

Yes I'm aware of some anti Americanism but perpetuating that mentality doesn't negate it just makes it worse.

I have absolutely 0 problem with canada. I just don't understand the anti-Americanism. I used to visit my relatives up there, but after a couple visits I started to notice a real 'unwanted' feel (espiecially in the recent years). So while I honestly have no problem with the country or it's people I do feel a little put out and I don't visit anymore.

That's too bad! I personaly don't know of anyone that would make an American feel unwanted. I think the notion has more to do with culture. Maybe some don't always agree with American policy but it doesn't mean that we don't like American people.

Also pehaps for some canadians have issues with identity. The US is a powerful influence on us. Being anti something could help them with their identity. Although it doesn't make it right.

What part of canada are you from? I live in maine and my relatives live in Fredricton, maybe the rural areas of Canada are a little less anti-american in the same way that rural areas in the US tend to be more republican while metro areas tend to be more democrat.

I like the firestorm of controversy that erupted over #122, Moleskine Notebooks...over 1,200 responses. Ah, the internets.

That site is hilarious. Love it.

Left to its own devices this thread could become wildly racist and even more off topic. Let's end it now while we have just a little racism and fifty percent off topic. Thanks to everybody who participated.
