There was a recent poll (I can't find the actual numbers) where americans were polled and asked 'do you mind if Canadians move to America and live here' to which 80% (again, not exact numbers) responded 'no we don't mind at all'. The same poll asked Canadians 'do you mind if Americans move to Canada and live here' to which 60-70% said 'yes we do mind'.

 

Why should I like a country that doesn't like me?

 

FYI I do have relatives in Canada and every time I visit them there is alot of anti-america talk from my uncle (who is natural born canadian). But he just likes arguing so I don't think he really counts

The poll sounds a bit weird too. We have lots of imigration, it's made our country what it is today.

Yes I'm aware of some anti Americanism but perpetuating that mentality doesn't negate it just makes it worse.
