I'm trying to meet people online because I simply don't go out enough, but the problem with this is I have to stand out amongst many men, some of whom are more attractive than I am. I've been really working on my confidence and I think it's really showing through in the e-mails I've been sending out to potential love interests. But whats a good thing to say if I want to stand out? Generally right now I'm just commenting on whatever stood out in her profile, mostly her interests that I share (I'm a big outdoorsman so any woman who says she's into fishing/camping gets an instant e-mail from me). And currently I feel this is the best way to do things but I'm always open for opinions on what you'd be looking to hear that might make somebody stand out against the hoards of other e-mails. On a side note: I weighed in today for the first time in 2 weeks or so, I was weighing myself everyday but for a good 3 weeks I hadn't lost any weight as I hadn't done very well on my diet. I'd been going to the gym regularly but while I was not exactly cheating on my diet (I didn't go eat junk food) I certainly wasn't watching it too closely. So of course I hadn't lost any weight in awhile. 2 weeks ago today I decided I had to knock it off and get back on the wagon, since then I've been doing an excellent job on my diet and working out 4-5 times a week, and today I stepped on the scale and discovered I'd lost 12 pounds in just 2 weeks. Bringing my total weight loss up to 40 pounds. Huzzah. Still got another 40-60 pounds to go before I'm really happy about my weight, but this makes me feel great. I know it has no bearing on anything in this thread/forum but I'm excited and had to tell somebody, so nyah Link to post Share on other sites
