justagirl09 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I have been talking to this guy, who is 31. I know him pretty well, and can tell if he is upset/stressed, etc even by a text. Well, he was being kind of short with me, so I tried to lighten the mood by asking if he was stressed and adding a little flirty tone to it. Well he got all annoyed. Then, I tried to make ammends and he says he wasnt mad he just wanted to see if he would think I was. What the hell??? you act like your mad to try and get some sort of reaction?? how am i supposed to react to something like that? I dont want him to be upset with me, so I tried to talk it out. Grrrrrr
Arasae Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 He's trying to suck you into a power game, it sounds like. Men who like to manipulate your responses like to manipulate you--approach with caution. =/

Grrrrrr I hate when guys/girls play games like this, I just wish more people were like me and said what they meant. Guys pull this crap, girls are guilty of 'hey whats wrong' respond: nothing. WE ALL KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG. I made a sign that said 'if you tell me nothing is wrong I'm going to go play the video game and pretend that is actually true' but I haven't had a chance to use it yet...
Sazerac Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 People who pull this kind of stunt tend to be rather immature, from my experience. Best thing to do is to ignore the behavior and hope it extinguishes it. Don't give him any reaction, since that's the payoff he's seeking.
