Mme. Chaucer Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why is your desire or need for instant gratification worthy of breaking your marriage vows? Since it's obviously important for you to be able to pursue anything that catches your fancy, why in the world are you married? Get out of your marriage and bang every handsome tom, DICK and / or harry that crosses your path, at least as long as you have the prerequisite decent looks to get it done. After that, I guess it will be just you & your vibrator, or perhaps you can start to pay for it. Please let your husband know that he is off the hook for being monogamous with you, too. Sounds like that is not his cup of tea any more than it is yours. Happy banging!
Heather1 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 That "feeling" has happened to me twice....it's like a magnet (train wreck) that won't stop. It's weird, the first time it happened I didn't act on it & we're actually very good friends now. My Dad is a non-functioning alcoholic & when I first met this man it was 10 years or so ago. In that 10 years I've seen him become a non-functioning alcoholic too. There was no indication of this when I first met him, I mean, I knew he drank but had NO idea the extent. We admitted our attraction, and made sure we were never alone together again. It was hard because of the chemistry, but I'm SO GLAD nothing ever happened!!! I'm not attracted to him AT ALL now. I spent the day w/ him the other day & I couldn't figure out what I saw in him. He's trying to stop drinking, and I'm glad to be his friend & not involved in the rest of his drama. With my xOM, felt that chemistry too & it is so incredibly strong. It still is, I don't trust myself ever alone w/ him. So yeah, I get that part all the way. It took over a year for something to happen though. So what would my advice be to you? The chemistry is scrambling your brain & you can't have a rational thought with it. Since your time frame is so short, I would pass this one by. Fantasize, do whatever you want, but if you hit on him & get rejected it's going to make you look really stupid & REALLY available to your co-workers.
