I have to say that it's remarkable that anyone would think they could actually be so controlling as to attempt to prohibit someone else from posting in any thread on LS. People who think this way undoubtedly have trouble functioning in "real life relationships" because those kinds of attempts at control generally result in the social isolation of the person who is inclined to make them.

The things that you and Samantha have in common, is that you are both Brilliant writers. And with your expounding you are both very witty at times .. Maybe the two of you have other personality traits in common that make you clash as well .. I love you both..

I know that on my thread, I am deeply hurt because of those who have attacked God and His Word. It has completely (admittedly) gotten away from me, in that respect..

For a religious person, "God and His Word" may be another way of saying "The Truth." I'm not very religious but I do understand the importance of "the truth." For you, califnan, I take it the highest truth can be found in God and His Word. I don't have to agree with your idea of religion to understand what you mean by that and to respect the notion of finding the truth through one's relationship with God and their particular religion.

You see I think that is why you find something useful in my posts, even though you are explicitly religious and I really don't think I am.

Everyone must find their own personal road to the truth. Some of us find it via God and religion. Others must travel a different path if they want to find the truth.

The truth is what it is. Not what we wish it to be. We can try to change the way things are, hopefully for the better, but not until we are able to truthfully acknowledge the way things are.

The dividing line at LS seems to be not between the religious and the irreligious, but rather, between those who understand the importance of the truth, and those who do not.
