jlr Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Hayden's "Let It Last" Ryan Adams' cover of "Wonderwall" Damien Rice's "Blower's Daughter" Ben Folds "The Luckiest" Elliott Smith's "Easy Way Out," "You're Just Somebody I Used To Know," "I Didn't Understand" Bright Eyes "Landlocked Blues" Red House Painters cover of "Follow You, Follow Me" Colin Hay "Just Don't Think That I'll Ever Get Over You" Some because they are sad. Some because they remind me of her, or we both liked them, or whatever, and they now make me sad.
TheBigQuestion Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMV4cDOWZZ4 This song does it every now and then.

romer Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Several. Three that I can think of: Every Rose Has It's Thorn (Poison) Don't Speak (No Doubt) Anything for You (Gloria Estefan) - this one really gets me
Engadget Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuGJaU25ZIA Alison Krauss and Union Station - Poor Old Heart The lyrics are all true. "You might just be the best that I can find, but I can't seem to forget the tears I've cried. I don't know that I will ever trust again, it's a price that I must pay for all my sings. Time has changed me and left me full of doubt. And my heart may be lost, never to be found"
HockeyMom Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I still can't even listen to anything by: The Beatles or any of them (Paul McCarney) Jimmy Buffet Fleetwood Mac Bob Seger Cat Stevens U2 Really any 70's groups... The only music I can listen to is the crappy stuff my son listens to. I used to love music and to blast the radio or cd's whenever I'm driving. Now I can barely ever even turn the radio on because I'm just constantly changing the station so I don't cry. All 6 CD's in my tape deck in my car are still the one's my ex put in there and are his. One of these days I need to take them all out. But it doesn't even matter because I doubt I have any others that I can handle listening to anyway. Just thinking about it and those groups is making me cry..... I hate everything in life these days!!!! I'm a very sentimental type of person... I can't do anything or go anywhere that reminds me of my ex or things or places that we did together.... concerts, red sox games.... nothing!!!!!

stella79 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 It would have to be Jeff Buckley's "Lover you should've come over"..it's very sad, about lost love.
skydiveaddict Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 That song really describes how I feel right now
confused and broken Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I can't cry anymore... nothing really makes me cry... sometimes I even want to cry, but I can't

CLC2008 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I think I want to learn martial arts. Screw this music.
shadowplay Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Some of the lyrics in this song are so beautiful and sad: Yes you who must leave everything that you cannot control. It begins with your family, but soon it comes around to your soul. If your life is a leaf that the seasons tear off and condemn they will bind you with love that is graceful and green as a stem.
shadowplay Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Another great, sad one by Leonard Cohen (sung by Rufus Wainwright): There was a time you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
confused and broken Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I heard this song on the radio today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHDYfoRYcqQ and it made me want to go out and be a crazy teenager again lol
JustJoe Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Because it is now being played at Military funerals, "Minstral Boy", is really becoming hard to take......too many friends have died.
Author Norville_Rogers Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 This one does it to me everytime.
Thebob Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 It's hard to deal with a breakup. But which songs do you hear on the radio(or elsewhere) that just break you down to tears when you hear it? "Show me what I'm looking for"- Carolina Liar

It brings me to tears quite fast.
