2 weeks of healing & peace - then my ex calls

Yesterday, my ex left a voicemail message that said "hi Sole, I know you don't want to talk to me. I'm just calling to see how you're doing. You don’t have to call me back if everything is okay, but if something is wrong, please give me a call and I still love you.”

 

He’s gone as far as to say "if something is wrong, please give me a call." It’s been 2 months since the breakup.

 

Is it possible the formula is working? He did make it almost 2 weeks without calling me…today would have been a full 2 weeks. Friday will mark a full month of NC for me.

Dont call him back, let even let the thought cross your mind, becuase then you will put yourself back to day 1... i am in the process of letting myself heal.

 

I made the mistake of answering a text after a month of N/c and we starting back talking again. for 3 weeks we were great. and then we had a disagreement and boom. he cuts me off again. I have called him the past week crying and asking what I did that was so wrong and why hasnt he contacted me. he has stated that he has been really busy. well now its been day 2 of N/c and it is hard. The good thing is I know what to expect, so Im not taking it as hard as the first tiime, but I am still taking it hard.

 

I wish I never responded and just left it. word of advice dont put yourself back through the hurt..

Oh, please. No man calls an ex just to see how she is doing. He calls for one reason and one reason only: to try and rekindle something.

Eyecandy, I really hope things work out for you. Follow the advice I was given - go complete NC.

 

I recently completed one month NC so going back from NC is definitely not an option for me. I have no inclination to call my ex - he's the one who calls me.

 

ADF addressed the concern I was having...that my ex had gone almost 2 weeks without calling me and then he calls because he "just wanted to see how I'm doing."

 

I remain strongly convinced my ex is still trying to find an inroad, or as ADF stated is "trying to rekindle something." He knows he messed up BADLY, and he knows that in the same way that I try to be a fair, kind and understanding person (God don't like ugly), I can also be the most bitter "snake" alive if you cross me.
