Justanotherdude Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I posted previously about a girl whose boyfriend of over a year and a half just broke up with her. My next question. How long do I wait before going after her? I backed off like some of you suggested to do, you know, until she gets out of this just dumped phase. She texts me wanting to know how I am, what I'm up to, and I respond casually. At what point do I get the green light here? I'm not saying I'm going to jump into something, I'm just used to being casually flirtatious while getting to know her - and I haven't had much of that lately because like it was suggested I should back off. I don't want to be the rebound guy - by no means - so how do i avoid this? Wait for something OBVIOUS from her? I'm not the type to let the girl do all the work.
Fouts Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Sometimes a rebound is the one that works out. She knows how much she's up for, there's no way for you to gauge it. Be your normal self.
ADF Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 If you have serious interest in this woman, you should let her know sooner rather than later. Remember, most attractive, unattached women are going to be targeted by multiple men almost immediately after a breakup. Wait too long, and you'll just end up being knocked aside by someone more aggressive.
boogieboy Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Yeah but you have to be prepared for the rebound phase. Dont invest into her emotionally until you know shes into you and not just filling a void. It should take at least 4 months for her to get over her bf unless she did the dumping.
Author Justanotherdude Posted April 10, 2010 Author Posted April 10, 2010 I have let her know....but that was shortly after her boyfriend broke up with her. Not really the best time to be telling her that. "After everything that's happened, im just looking for friends right now" I think she's better now, she seems a lot happier, I met her at a concert recently and she grabbed my arm as we were walking out together. I guess I'm just stalling...
