TooMuchPride Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 so me and my ex ended a lil over a month ago i ended it and i still havent been able to let go , he is seeing someone else but they are not in a relationship..so he says... after 3 weeks i made the mistake of contacting him and broke all the "get him back rules" we spoke alomost on hour , then he added me bakc on fb n for about a week as soon as id log on hed talk to me and everythign felt good , then i said i wanted to get back but he would have to drop the girl n then he said no so i blocked him out again and he didnt care at all...it hurt cause normally hed be the one to chase...n i felt like i chased and got rejected...this is long distance..i feel like if i was home id have no problem getting him back but i wont be home for 2 months... we stopped talking for about a week and then once again i stupidly messaged him and said i wanted to fix it AGAIN he said he did too but as the convo went on it was clear he wanted BOTH of us n had no plan on stop talking to her so i blocked him out again...about 5 days...day before yesterday i saw a pic of him and her kissing it hurt a lil but i didnt cry...i started watching videos on how to get him back , LAME RIGHT?..lol but i got advice to write a lil note saying i agree with the break up and keep it short n thats exactly what i did , that was last night , i feel i made a little head way but..idk this is how it went ( i edited it so that it isnt the exact convo , just the main points): me: Hey , i kno i been goin back n forth talkin to u gettin mad then talkin to u again ,jus syain sorry for actin crazy just wanted to get my way , you moved on buti didnt yet but finally am over it n finally realize it was better for us to stay apart wasnt too sure but yesterday someone asked if i saw ur pic of u kissin (new girl) i saw it...i think seeing that u doin fine without me helped alot... just saying we can put it all in the past now we dont have to be friends but anomosity between us is a waste of time i realized by being wit u i was really makin myself miserable when im in canada and your in a diff country when ppl would flirt and it was probably the same for u or harder , so i guess im jus sayin i agree with what u said before n i was jus being spoilt and that i wish u the best. him: Oh, Woah You Saw That, :|, And Uhhhh, Thats Doesnt Mean She My Gf Tho, Cause She Is Not, That Kiss Was Just A IDK And Does This Mean We Are Friends,I Miss You ALot Tho :? me: lol..mhmm sure did!... its all good though u looked happy ...yea we can b friends this time i wont get mad at everything..u dont have to add me back tho not trying cramp ur style...yup miss u too , but im tired so ima get off, just needed to get that off my chest sleep good. him: Same To You My Mom Saw The Pic Today Too, And When I Told We Were Over, She Wanted To Hang Me, Lol she was upset idk y me: you only just told her? silly! him: didnt want her to know cause i thought we'd get back but then..yea me: I Bet LOL goodnight boy him:Goodnight Girl ^last night around 12..he's been on since then but hanst said anything. WHAT NOW? do i play the waiting game or do u think he'll even say anything else.

I mean you wrote him a letter with extremely poor grammar and punctuation and it was pretty hard to follow. I know it's not a term paper, but IMO it just comes off silly and unintelligent especially when writing something important to a former lover. Internet or not I personally feel one should always type formally as it sounds MUCH more elegant It's a little thing but true. Then he replies to you capitalizing every word in the sentence, I mean wtf. But to give you advice, there really is not much you can do to change his mind or persuade him in another direction. Best bet is to be civil and friendly, and try to move on. It's tough at first without a doubt, but I think the end it always works out for the better. Let's face it, break-ups suck but they happen for a reason. As much as you love the other person, things will never be the same again. Getting them back based on a short-lived rekindle of interest or attraction from NC will more then likely end just like it did before. I personally got dumped almost a year ago, and after trying to get them back for a few months, I had finally had enough, implemented NC and began healing. It didn't take that long to start getting past my feelings for the ex, and led me to eventually be completely over them. Were now on friendly terms - mainly her doing - but it feels natural. I think if you really care for the person, that's your best bet. You have to move past them. If you can handle them in your life after a lenghty away period, that's great, but if not, implement NC permanantly. You gotta figure if something is really meant to be it will be, but if not then something else just as good - most likely better - will come your way. I mean, the truth is you'll likely get a point where you have no idea what you were once thinking in regards to your ex. But most importantly, there's just no reason sitting around pining for someone who doesn't want anything to do with you. We're not doormats, so you should never let someone treat you like one. Long story short, go NC, move on.
