My case I was dumped but never offered any type of friendship??????? Just cut me off cold turkey changed number emails like I never existed?????? Now if he had wanted to I would have declinded. Just trying to understand WHY he the one who broke my heart after 6 1/2 years for someone else NEVER spoke to me once since that day like I WAS THE ONE WHO DONE WRONG??? FYI I am finally healing, just been reading some threads bout friends with the ex I never had the chance

If someone can walk away from you they don't deserve any of your personal life whatsoever.

Yeah, I haven't spoken to him since. Because I knew he'd move on easier without me around. And he has, he's out partying like any normal 22 year old and I'm much, much happier with someone else. It confirmed for me that I did the right thing in the first place in breaking up with him and also that I did best by ignoring his attempts at contact. I wasn't being heartless and ignoring our 5 years together, it was just simply better for all concerned.

You don't have to accept their crumbs of friendship! That is not what YOU want but that is what THEY want. Why give the ex something they do no deserve?
