spriggig Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 In February, my STBXW ran off to another state to change her LDR EA into a PA for two weeks. I was left home with our son. He talked to her on the phone a few times, I was in total NC. I got mixed up on which day she was to return. After nearly 24 hours of waiting for word from her, I became paranoid: "Oh! I KNOW what's going on! She's spent the day at a lawyers' office and has prepared divorce papers! Now, her brother has convinced her that they need to serve me papers and take our son TONIGHT!" I imagined there was a cop car down the street with her in it and she was just waiting for someone to show up or whatever to come and serve the papers. I've never been through a divorce and the paranoia just ran with my ignorance. So, I text her: "I figured out what you have planned, just come and give me the papers or whatever and take (son). I won't resist." Get this: I made coffee for the cops. She finally answers: "I just got into Denver airport [stop over to ABQ], I'm staying tonight at my brothers." I haven't told her the full extent of this episode.
