And what, if anything can you do? To make a long story short, i was seeing this guy for a few months, he didnt want it to progress and i did, so we stayed friends. I was dating off and on and then kind of got sick of it so i stopped. 2-3 months pass by, and we have been seeing each other off and on although not exclusive. We started becoming close again, then he noted that it felt serious and he backed off. Not completely, but i noticed some distance. I guess he couldnt handle that he was starting to have feelings again. Is there anything you can do about this? he knows exactly what i want, and how i feel. I have never hid the fact about that. He is not good with his feelings, but I dont know how to reach him. Its like he gets totally freaked out and doesnt know how to handle it...I dont know whether to give him space or just let him be.

Have you asked him why he feels that he needs to back off whenever the two of you get close? I think he's a bit unsure whereas you know what you want. If that's the case, this is just going to keep happening until he figures out what he wants. Ask him why he does that. Like you said, he knows how you feel already so there's not much more you can do to reach out to him and draw him in for good.

Why should you do anything about it? Next him.

I tried talking to him. How he goes from hot to cold. When i do he becomes distant, and i dont hear from him as much. He wants it drama/stress free, but nothing is like that. I dont know, i think he has too many things to work out. He doesnt know how to express himself. When i try to talk to him, he gets tense and doesnt have answers. I feel bad that he got burned, but everyone has. Its too bad, because i think if he would let go of the past, and give someone a chance, he could be really happy. But I think I need to move on probably, because he is a long way from knowing what he wants, and i dont want to waste my time.

If that's the case, then move on. He has a few things to sort out and he has to do it for himself. You want someone who wants to be with you too.
