I wonder (may not be the first you heard of this suggestion) have you ever considered fictionalizing or putting your story to paper? Survivor stories help those who don't know how to fight back--hopefully it doesn't trigger things within you.

Again—I truly commend you on your ability to survive and thrive in spite of such pain.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been single and alone for several years now and I tend to forget that I am actually doing pretty well, all things considered.

I briefly thought about writing about the event, but it didn't seem as though my story was that special; maybe because I lived it. I tend to forget that much of my life is remarkable to others while fairly normal to me.

But I really appreciate the kind words.

i just remembered this ......when i was in first grade, at a private christian school, we had a male gym teacher that would feel on all the girls- like back rubs, shoulder rubs, neck rubs.... he liked it when the girls would play with his hair and rub his shoulders

we were only 5, 6 & 7 year old little girls :sick::sick:

We were a little older - 10 years old, newly pubescent and hormonally deranged - when we got a hip young male class teacher. Girls who did their homework well (we had to queue up at his desk to have it checked each morning) got to sit on his lap and VERY good work was rewarded with a kiss (proper French kiss - not a mere peck on the cheek). He dated the older sister of one of my classmates for a while - and used to arrange dates in class via the younger sister. Flirting, sexual innuendo and some light physical contact was par for the course - but none of us thought it was creepy or weird - we were quite flattered that our new sexuality was being recognised and acknowledged, since the rest of the world seemed to be in deep denial of it.

Now, decades on, we're quite shocked when we look back on it. At the time it all seemed so normal... Now, people would lose their jobs over less.

I think women teachers do this because they pretty much get away with it,men on the other hand will go to prison and be labled as a rapist in there.

Even if it were a male teacher having sex with a male student, which I have seen on the news several years ago,he would even get a harsher punishment than a female teacher.

Does society not see it the same?

No society doesn't see it the same - which IMO is disgusting. Women for the most part seem willing to give a wave to women who are out of bounds - look at the responses you've gotten here!!

While I know it happens, I highly doubt it is "so many" prior to college.

Although I know it happens, I highly doubt that there are "so many" cases of male teachers molesting young girls either..

Well, the simple truth is that the 13 or 14 or 15 year old boy is too busy slapping five's with his buddies and bragging about how he got laid by the teacher to be running to the authorities to whine and complain that he's been defiled. Doesn't make it right that the female teachers tend to not get crucified like the men teachers do, but that's pretty much how it seems to go when it does happen.

And 13 - 15 year old girls who are having "affairs" with older male teachers are also often proud of it. Does that make it OK, that the girls don't really realize that they are being taken advantage of - in the same way EXACTLY that the young boys aren't aware of being taken advantage of.

Actually, incidents like these are pretty rare. It is far more common for male teachers to seduce or molest female students. When a case of a female teacher carrying on with a male student comes to light, it makes huge headline for weeks, even months. That is why it seems like it is common. But it isn't.

Actually BOTH incidents are fairly rare. But the relative rareness of the event - on either side - does not mean that when it occurs it is BAD.

It's a rarity when a female teacher molest a male student. It also goes against the stereotype of the nurturing female and this is why it makes huge headlines when it happens.

So.... even here on LS it appears that society has a tendency to downplay women being the aggressor. i.e.... it doesn't happen as often, only after college, boys feel they are "special" by getting laid by the teacher... When the fact is that this behavior by women is just as bad as the same behavior when exercised by men.

This is false, and is a misandryst statement. To see just how "rare" it is for a female teacher to abuse a male student, click on this link:

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=39783

Female teachers abusing male students is a PLAGUE. Pretending it's not won't make it go away, and don't blame males without some supporting evidence.

It is not a misandryst statement. Pointing out that it is more common for males to be abusers than vice versa is not the same as saying males as a group are prone to be abusive. They aren't. And nobody who didn't have a huge chip on their shoulder about this issue would suggest that was what I meant. Get off your soap box.

BTW, you do know WorldNetDaily is a wacko, right-wing extremist website, right? Consider you source.

You have had a lot of pain in your life. IMO it is only through the experience of true pain that a person can experience true happiness.

I hate the way people can be sometimes. Seriously, it would be one thing to say you were lying, but to say you had seduced a grown married man is silly. Even if that were true I still blame him. You probably helped saved countless girls.

That's a crazy story, but at least it didn't scar you.

It IS a misandryst statement you made: you're generalizing about a segment of males without providing any evidence.

If it were generalising about a SEGMENT of males it would not be misandrist but mis[insert name of segment here]ist. Misandry is hatred of all males. Challenging a claim that female-on-male CSA is more common than male-on-female CSA is not misandrist - unless you're admitting to misogyny by making your claims?

And by the way, which of the information posted by WorldNetDaily was false? Which stories precisely did they fabricate? You have criticized negatively twice now, without providing any evidence to support your points. I'm considering your LACK of sources. Please, back up your critical statements, or don't talk about subjects of which you're ignorant.

From Wikipedia:

Approximately 15% to 25% of women and 5% to 15% of men were sexually abused when they were children.[11][12][13] Most sexual abuse offenders are acquainted with their victims; approximately 30% are relatives of the child, most often brothers, fathers, uncles or cousins; around 60% are other acquaintances such as 'friends' of the family, babysitters, or neighbors; strangers are the offenders in approximately 10% of child sexual abuse cases.[11] Most child sexual abuse is committed by men; studies show that women commit 14% to 40% of offenses reported against boys and 6% of offenses reported against girls.[11][12][14] Most offenders who sexually abuse prepubescent children are pedophiles;[15][16] however, some offenders do not meet the clinical diagnosis standards for pedophilia.[17]

Those are REAL, reputable sources that are cited there, not some wacko nutjob site. The statistics clearly show that child sexual abuse is overwhelmingly male-on-female.
