shadowplay Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 ...trying to chat me up and be friendly, pretending like he wasn't a total dick to me the last time we saw each other. I blew him off. Gave him a few one word responses and then told him I had to run. He looked a bit stunned. That's the first time I've seen him and been able to just walk away. I had the temptation to stick around, but resisted. It felt awesome.
jlr Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I know how you feel. I had the pleasure of being able to finally do this when I was at the same concert as my ex last week. It felt really good. Go us, we're rocking it.
Star Gazer Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Good for you, Shadow!!! That was not at all what I expected to read when opening the thread!!! :bunny:
Author shadowplay Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 ^^thanks! It wasn't at all what I was expecting to do, which is why it felt so good.
Fouts Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 If you didn't run out to your car and break down in a sobbing pool of tears, it looks like you're starting to move on.
Star Gazer Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 ^^thanks! It wasn't at all what I was expecting to do, which is why it felt so good. And guess what? Everytime you do that, every step you take farther from him, the better you're going to feel! Isn't it so much more fun choosing a course of action (or inaction) which results in that sort of emotion? Great job, really. FWIW, I'm proud of you.
DustySaltus Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Good job, there's no greater response than indifference.
