Green Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 So i bought KY warming liquid personal lubricant for sex with my gf who has been complaining of pain during sex. Wasn't sure if any of you could tell me if I got a good brand and what experiences they have with lube.
aerogurl87 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I hate KY. Wet (and yes that's the brand name) is the best in my opinion. Looks like water, smells like water, but works great.

Where do I buy "wet?" I got the KY because it was "warming" and I saw it at Target. Why do you hate KY did it smell?
Art_Critic Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Astroglide is better than ky.. ky dries out to fast
Citizen Erased Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Hate that warming stuff, it either stings or is generally uncomfortable...depending on where you use it.
Author Green Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 plan on putting it on my thing, and then into her thing... not in her butt. Now comes the big question... I have astroglide being mentioned and wet... has any one tried both.... seriously I don't want to be the guinipig. At this point citizen has cared me about the warming but I almost just want to try it myself knowing that if I don't like it there is better out there. But the drying out thing sounds bad.
Pfiend101 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 lmao. I couldn't stop laughing after the butt part. hahaha Just stick it in her butt. My ex had something called bullet once.
Author Green Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 As of now I don't even think I am going to try the warming ky. I think I'm going to go with Astroglide as a friend of mine told me he uses it and likes it. No way am i just going to stick it in her but, I'd love to but she is a strictly vagina type of woman.
Citizen Erased Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Astroglide is good, can't say I've used Wet though. Gotta pick one!
aerogurl87 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Astroglide is good too, I've tried all 3 and my favourite is Wet though. You can pick it up at Walmart. I can tell you from personal experience that the KY warming liquid crap does not feel good in a girl's "love canal" (at least it didn't feel good for me). Definitely go with the Astroglide or Wet.
carhill Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I've used Wet for over a decade. Most of the others irritate my skin. Wet comes in flavors too, if you like oral fun. I get it, and back in the day, condoms, from condomcountry on the internet. Reasonable, reliable and fast. Stbx used to buy Astroglide. It was OK but irritated me a bit. Had good staying power (didn't dry out fast). I find the gels to be too 'sticky' and stick to liquids.
Crazy Magnet Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I used KY warming stuff ONCE. I swear to god flames shot out of my vagina. It was on fire, and not in a good way. Abort mission warming liquid! Go for Astroglide (though I'm intrigued by the Wet stuff...you can get that at Wal Mart?)
MalachiX Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I used KY once with in college on the suggestion of my then-GF. It was awful. The whole warmth/tingling aspect felt VERY odd. I mean, I'm all for warmth and tingling but I always thought that's supposed be provided by the sex not this weird smelling jelly. This artificial warmth just makes me feel kinda numb. We went about five minutes and then she suddenly started screaming for me to stop and said it was suddenly burning. We then ran to the bathroom and did our best to wash it all off. It was easily the worst sex I've ever had.

Go for Astroglide (though I'm intrigued by the Wet stuff...you can get that at Wal Mart?) Yeah you can get it at Wal Mart. It's sitting right next to all the tubes of KY (although when I went to pick it up at the store there was only one bottle left ) But it works great! And yeah KY made it feel like the fires of hell had relocated into my vagina when I used it, so never again. But Wet is awesome. It's not sticky, has no smell to it, and it stays wet for a long time. I love it! :bunny:

Go for Astroglide (though I'm intrigued by the Wet stuff...you can get that at Wal Mart?) We got a gift pack of 5 different KY warming lubes. During foreplay reach down and grabed one started using it together and after about 30s we were on fire, I ran into the shower her to bidet. Put a damper on the love making that evening but we did laugh a lot. We use ID Glide like astoglide it is more water than gel based so it doesn't feel sticky and lasts longer.
Author Green Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 U know it was my gf who sugested I get the warming kind. She has never used lube so she probably just liked the idea of it being warm. Thanks to some of these stories I will be returning the KY warming liquid and do not plan on trying it. My friends in real life confirmed what is being said on here. I'm tempted to buy both astroglide and wet to decide which one I like better as they both are getting warm reviews.
2sure Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 The warming stuff is icky, it burns, it tastes bad, and it seems stickier than regular.
bac Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 It can increase the pain and break the condom. She should go to see a gyn/ob doctor if she has any pain. There should be no pain during intercourse.
alphamale Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 i've never had to use any of these "lubes" so i can't say which is better or not

There should be no pain during intercourse. I'm not using a condom and she has seen her doctor about the pain and they didn't give her any answers other then she is fine. She actualy switched Doctors in the time I've known her because of insurance issues and the new doctor hasn't said anything is wrong with her either.

Knittress Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Um.... lube is great, but... have you considered that maybe you might need to work harder/longer at turning her on instead of jumping straight to the slippery assist? When I was younger and went to the ob/gyn because sex was uncomfortable, that was 100% the reason. Just a thought.
MalachiX Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 U know it was my gf who sugested I get the warming kind. She has never used lube so she probably just liked the idea of it being warm. Same story with me and same with some of my friends. The girl wants to try KY assuming the lube will be similar to the lube they put on condoms. Then, once it's on, she's in agonizing pain. I guess the logic is: a.) "All lubes must be the same." b.) "KY is such a popular brand. It couldn't possibly hurt..."
Author Green Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 the pain is all in her head apparently. she has some psychological problem with coitus interruptus I would guess so too but she asked for lubricant and it sounds fun. When I was younger and went to the ob/gyn because sex was uncomfortable, that was 100% the reason. Just a thought. I'm working as hard as I can at turning her on, but yes I agree she doesn't always enjoy sex as much as me. She usualy gets into it once we really get going but she is kind of a prude in some ways when it comes to foreplay. Same story with me and same with some of my friends. The girl wants to try KY assuming the lube will be similar to the lube they put on condoms. Then, once it's on, she's in agonizing pain. I guess the logic is: a.) "All lubes must be the same." b.) The KY warming gelly felt good, but wow was it messy, slimy, it was like glob glob. Cleanup is bad. Try Liquid Silk, it's waterbased, and great
