start-fresh Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I had my dog into the vet recently and found out one of the techs that works there is taking her dog to the same obedience class as me, only on a different night and I'd kinda like to ask her out. What do you guys think about leaving my number with the teacher and asking her to give it to the girl so she can send me hers? Is there any other way to ask her out to increase the chance of her saying yes? I don't really know how else to meet up with her again.
New Again Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I don't think you should put your doggie teacher in the middle of this. You have class with her. You know where she works. There are two places to start. Sorry, reread. If you know where the class is, and you know what night she goes....can you find an excuse to be in that area when she's getting there or leaving?

I guess it depends on the individuals, but just as a general rule (probably not that helpful, sorry), I wouldn't put someone you don't really know in that position of being responsible for holding on to your number, and getting it to the other girl. I personally would not feel comfortable doing that for someone I didn't know, but I am pretty uptight. I mean, what if you're a psycho stalker or something? I'd feel so responsible for turning her life into a Lifetime movie. Assuming I remembered to do it in the first place.

He seems like a decent guy but kind of disorganized. I've known him for a few weeks but only in that class setting, too. I'll have to think of a different way I guess. Thanks for the help!
boogieboy Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Put yourself in a position to run into her. Go to the same class in a few weeks, or be coming out when shes going in. But giving your number to someone to pass to her is lame as hell, no one would call you in that instance, since you didnt have the confidence to do it yourself, or find a way to do it yourself. You have to have a good rapport with her before assuming she will want your number.
tami-chan Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I love dogs ! Anyway, I think you should tell the tech your dog has a crush on her dog and would like to ask her dog if they can go to the dog park for a picnic! no?...ok, thought it was a great idea...sorry...
