lsb Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Hi, I broke up with my boyfriend almost a year ago. At first I just wanted a break and I was being honest. I needed a break because I just got out of the hospital due to an illness. But I ended up ending things first and then asking for the break...so I guess he thought it was over. I saw him on a dating site and I saw he messaged other women, I panicked and took him back but he didnt delete the site and still messaged other women. So I ended it for good. My problem is that he was the first guy i have ever been with. And everytime I feel lonely...I think of him. Its been a year and he still messages me, but i have not been responding. I am not sure what I would say...

I am not sure what I would say... Your lonely and that is understandable, and we all hold on to a part of our first love. Most likely your thinking of him is not you pining to be in a relationship with him but just you thinking of a time when you did not feel lonely. So the smart thing would be instead of going backward and talking to your EX, it times to get more things in your life going so you have healthy options to adress the times you feel lonely.

I am not sure what I would say... you can't find someone else? are you bored? think about the real reason you are not responding. if you wanted him back you would have responded

Weird Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I think you simply have 2 options: 1- you say to him you do not want him to message you and want to just "move on" without him being in your life. 2- if you have any feelings for the guy then tell him this and see what he says. Far too often people play the mind games and try and be all coy and it just ends up making things worse. If people would simply be up front then so much time and emotion would be saved.
