sweetblubrry Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Ive been emailing this guy on eharmony and he suggested on Wednesday that we get together Saturday (today) for dinner and drinks. He said to text him so i did on Thursday as he had written his number in the email. We agreed to go out on Saturday and that we'd figure the details later. Well it is Saturday at 3pm... UM ok? I'm kind of pissed.... if he does text what do I tell him? Just say I have plans (even tho I don't) because I didn't hear from him and know if we were still on?

Since he asked you then you should let him call and confirm. He didn't slip and bump his head and forget it was Saturday. You will be shown a taste of what this guy would be like in a relationship by what he does today. If he does call later on, no harm and no foul. Just go out and have a good time. If he doesn't call? Forget it. Don't turn a 1st date into a 1 year relationship by calling, texting or e-mailing him about what happened. Someone who doesn't follow up on a date is a deal breaker to me. And if he doesnt call today but yet calls in the middle of the week with a viable excuse such as a death in the family/friends, accident, illness, etc. Then it would be fine to go out with him later. If you smell BS in the excuse, it probably is and you should move on.
Author sweetblubrry Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 Thanks but if he does call or text later, should I really go out with him? I kind of feel like a guy doesn't value my time if he can't follow up on what he planned to do and I just jump to go out on a date with him. I mean "dinnertime" to me is like 5pm - 7pm only a few hours away! He said he was free today.... so no reason why he couldn't have contacted me earlier in the day! I ask because I'm done being Ms. "nice girl" im sick of crap like this!
