4givrnt4gtr Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 So, Ive become interested in this guy from work. I know not much is gonna come out of it for many reasons but I just have so much fun flirting and finding excuses to talk to him. In any case, this guy is ......shy? nervous? awkward? I dont know. I mean he's good looking but he has this gentle, quiet way about him and Ive noticed that he seems a bit jumpy here and there. Actually my boss, who knows about my little crush described him as a lamb, meek mild and quiet....another friend said he reminds her of Bambi lol (im sure he would throw a fit if he knew...my experience says those meek and mild men are anything but.) In any case, he asked me to have dinner with him in the most awkward way where i totally missed it and accidentally shot him down. After that he got even more awkward but thankfully I figured it out and made it more obvious that I am indeed interested without throwing myself at him. Since then we've talked some more, flirted etc but he has not asked me out again Well, one of the ways I talk to him is by using a class we are taking as an excuse...I ask him questions about it etc. Yesterday we didnt talk much so I decided to send him an email today about the class as we are gonna have an exam soon....but now I'm wondering if I might be doing too much and maybe my flirting/opening the door might backfire and might cause him to want to get away (aka am i stalking this poor guy??? lol) For any of you guys out there who think are shy.....what would you think or how would you feel if a girl keeps smiling at you, making up excuses to talk to you etc (given that you think she is kinda cute...as Im hoping he does given his staring and other things ive seen). Would her reaching out to you scare you away?
sumdude Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 As a guy who tends to be laid back though not exactly shy, perhaps slightly bashful? I've had many women pretty much let me know fairly directly that they were interested. The most recent said something like "Hey you know I kinda like you .. Ive wondered what it would be like to kiss you." Which quickly led to a fairly hot though short relationship. Sometimes being forward is a good thing for a woman to do. What's the worst that can happen? He says "I don't quite feel that way." A tiny bit of rejection but then at least you'll have your answer.
