Are any of you ladies waitresses?

What do you think of customers who hit on you or ask for your number? DO any of them actually have a chance or do you just write them all off?

Im not a waitress but I work with them. In 3 years I have only known 1 time for a waitress to go on a date with someone who was previously her customer.

They usually feel a little creeped and are pretty dismissive. ESPECIALLY if you are patronizing about their job.

I've dated waitresses/bartenders before. You have to know going in before hand that they are going to be hit on ... a lot!! --and be comfortable about it.

It's always been after I've developed a rapport with them though, not just a quick pick up - their defenses are very high then and I've never been able to crack them.

Rule #1 - Don't hit on women where you work.

Rule #2 - Don't hit on women where THEY work.

Those rules suck.

'Suck' or not, break them and you will feel pain.

Oh, I don't know. I was a waitress for a long time. Was hit on by a coworker, and was flattered. Ended up dating him for a while. Same went for customers. Most of the time, I was flattered. I even ended up hanging out with a few of the ones who hit on me.

So I don't really agree with those rules.
