SomewhatExperienced Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Are any of you ladies waitresses? What do you think of customers who hit on you or ask for your number? DO any of them actually have a chance or do you just write them all off?
mrt336 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Im not a waitress but I work with them. In 3 years I have only known 1 time for a waitress to go on a date with someone who was previously her customer. They usually feel a little creeped and are pretty dismissive. ESPECIALLY if you are patronizing about their job.
homersheineken Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I've dated waitresses/bartenders before. You have to know going in before hand that they are going to be hit on ... a lot!! --and be comfortable about it. It's always been after I've developed a rapport with them though, not just a quick pick up - their defenses are very high then and I've never been able to crack them.
Tnerforireyeh Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Rule #1 - Don't hit on women where you work. Rule #2 - Don't hit on women where THEY work.
homersheineken Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Rule #1 - Don't hit on women where you work. Rule #2 - Don't hit on women where THEY work. Those rules suck.
Tnerforireyeh Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 'Suck' or not, break them and you will feel pain.
homersheineken Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 'Suck' or not, break them and you will feel pain. Any relationship/dating exp will feel pain.
erika2610 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Rule #1 - Don't hit on women where you work. Rule #2 - Don't hit on women where THEY work. Oh, I don't know. I was a waitress for a long time. Was hit on by a coworker, and was flattered. Ended up dating him for a while. Same went for customers. Most of the time, I was flattered. I even ended up hanging out with a few of the ones who hit on me. So I don't really agree with those rules.
