lilymusiq Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) I've found that music and certain playlists help me through just about anything I'm going through; good, bad, ugly or depressing. Maybe it makes me a nerd, but I have a playlist/type of music for just about every mood that I could possibly be feeling. I love music and listening to specific types of it because it can completely soothe or alter my mood :c) I've been doing a lot of reading lately, so Shelby Lynne has been coming up on my playlist quite a bit. Her music is so chill and relaxing...I love it! What is everybody's current favorite playlist/artist? And why? Edited April 5, 2010 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
zebracolors Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Yay I love music too. I think for many music comes in phases. For me it does anyway. I tend to associate music alot with things going on in my life. Like i can listen to a song from the 90s that I loved and it will almost always make me think back to my years in college. And I'll probably associate the music list that follows with this phase of my life in the years to come. Nine Inch Nails Filter Coldplay The Verve Kings of Leon
skydiveaddict Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) one just cause I'm out having a couple after work tonight. And btw, you're not a nerd. Edited March 19, 2010 by skydiveaddict
Belle Vie Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I like to listen to Jason Mraz to be cheered up (I simply cannot NOT smile and move to the beat while I'm listening to his music), and to Indigo Girls to be uplifted.
taurusincus Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Well i prefer buddhist meditation music,it really soothes my agitated nerves.
zebracolors Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Yeah some of the songs have lyrics that are almost spot on to my situations in life, its so interesting. I know when I'm feeling a little down, or introspective, thats when I'm in the mood for my Nine Inch Nails, or the slower stuff from Coldplay as an example.
lamar_84 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 That's a great idea. I'm going to make my playlists when I get home.
terra Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Radiohead is who I turn to when I'm feeling sad. That Thom can pull me out of anything!
MrsPeaSoup Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Radiohead is who I turn to when I'm feeling sad. That Thom can pull me out of anything! Radiohead <3 Yes, there is a truth been said over there ^^^^ Other music that sooth me is piano music such as Yann Tiersen (guy from Amélie Poulain (from that photo of Terra)). Or this guy with especially song. Coldplay will also do the trick: Cemetries of London... Anyone?
