unsureLP Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 We have another counseling session today and I am dreading it. The last one triggered a 7 hour fight... I don't know if I can deal with that again today... He has told me what I can and what I can't bring up with the counselor, but really what's the point of going to the counselor if we can't be honest? Should I bring up the issues I think are important, or should I go along with his request? (the issues he doesn't want brought up are: our parenting styles, our fights, our private life in general)
mark982 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 your going to a counsler to try to make your marriage work. how can it work if you don't get to the root of your problems? i say, tell the counsler what's on your mind.
Lees Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Absolutely agree. In order to address the issues which are at the root cause they have to be aired in the first place! Don't let anyone control what you say. That is in your own power.
