Wallace1 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) The longest I've gone was about 4 or 5 months, but that was mostly because I legitimately had zero interest in life following my GF of 3 years leaving me whom at the time I considered my future wife. For me, its the worst right after a regular sex situation ends, whether its a GF or FWB or whatever. Like some kind of withdrawal or something. I have to force myself not to go to bar for awhile or I'll wake up with someone, sometimes a "mistake". When single, I'll hookup randomly every so often out of boredom, or I'll get a crush on someone and try to see if there's a potential relationship. I'm not a fan of being single in general, perhaps it's why I originally sought advice on here, but I frankly just don't enjoy random hookups anymore most of the time. And this whole FWB issue is nothing but a load of crap. Meaningless sex is just that. The whole idea is to find someone you love. Someone to share your life with.

I was hooking up with an attractive girl about a month ago. She then decided that squeezing my testicles was supposed to somehow be "h0tt." Yes, my sex life is a comedy of errors. And to the guy who said meaningless sex lives up to it's name, you're absolutely right. It just becomes an appetite for empty calories.

Im eager to start dating now that I've recently moved though, new start etc. Oh and I don't have sex outside of a relationship, so yes, I hate being single haha

I had a long term relationship, then held out for a serious relationship, acquired an AMAZING FWB, but that ended cause I developed feelings for him. I had to find replacement for him, kinda started doing almost all my male friends - it was kinda like a binge, esp when i developed a crush on my best friend's [who is desperately in love with me] FRIEND and was finding any potential fling just to forget about him. Didn't answer the second part. Being single and being in a relationship has pros and cons. I would rather remain single then be with the wrong person. As far as being tired of being single, I have had my moments in the past but in more recent time I have not.
