Ecosse Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Just posting this in the hopes that it will create a resource for anybody in an LDR. Looking for ideas to help keep an LDR alive and kicking What do you do to spend time together? How do you keep things from getting stale? Tips or Ideas??? I'll go first. Watch a movie or TV show together
BettyBoop Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Make strip-tease videos and webcam sex. Worked perfectly well in my last one that lasted 2 years. Also I think it is very important to communicate with webcam so that the person can see your face and remember that he/she is talking with a person and not just a screen or a phone...
Pyro Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 For me a long distance relationship will not last unless plans are in the works for us to be together on a more permanent basis.
aerogurl87 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Well for me in the past, a big part of keeping a LDR going was lots of communication for one. It's easy to get lost in your life and forget to keep communicating with your SO sometimes, so communication (ex. emails, texts, instant messaging, phone calls, letters) is vital if the relationship is going to survive. Also little walks down memory lane with each other helps, like reminiscing on how great your last visit was. Then there's planning for the future, that helps alot. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to have a specific end date, but try and project into the future and make plans that will help you end the distance.
