fooled once Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I have been looking up stuff on the web, but was wondering if anyone here personally has had this and could share their experience?
Lauriebell82 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I have been looking up stuff on the web, but was wondering if anyone here personally has had this and could share their experience? My best friend had Ovarian Cancer when she was 9 years old (she is 27 now). She had to go through chemotherapy and had to have her ovaries removed. She cannot have children. She takes birth control pills which give her hormones and enable her to have breasts. She doesn't talk about it a whole lot, but I know what she went through was very painful. She is happily married now and her husband is fine with the fact that she can't biologically have children.
Author fooled once Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 Thank you for that information. I am curious about older women, who are past the child bearing years. Lots of information out there; hard to digest and hard to wrap your head around. I am glad your friend is doing so well and she has found someone wonderful to share her life with.
whichwayisup Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 My friends older sister had ovarian cancer. She's a survivor! She had a full hysterectomy as well as chemo and radiation. FO, are you okay?
