Chitowngirl Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 So I had my first taste of a long distance relationship..and I seriously doubt if I could stay sane during a LDR if I was madly in love with the guy. I think I am just too needy and need to see my love at least every few days. Did anyone think this way before they fell in love with their LD partner and now they're ok with seeing them once a month or so?
aerogurl87 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I was borderline obsessed with my ex (or at least that's how my friends say I acted) and it killed me being apart from him. The ride back to the airport was always the hardest and full of both of us crying. In the end he wasn't worth it though, so whatever.
BettyBoop Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I need a lot of love and texting to survive. I had 2 LDRs for 2 years each that went fine because the guys kept giving me verbal validation. However, my current 2 month LDR is the worst thing I've ever experienced. With the current boyfriend, no, I don't think I could survive another LDR because of the way that things are going. However, I always felt in the past that if a person is important enough for you - you will survive a LDR as long as both partners communicate and show their love daily.
Author Chitowngirl Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks you two I just can't imagine the heart ache and don't think I could survive it for 1-2 yrs before deciding to end it or move to him.
Ecosse Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I guess Im a hopeless romantic and believe that "the one" story... so to me its worth it to keep on working on my LDR ( My LDR is the best relationship I have ever had, she is simply wonderful) LIke I have posted elsewhere.. its a personal choice.. is the person worth it to have to be apart for a little while? Cliche to say but winners never quit, quitters never win...
