Kelso Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Hey - I met a girl at a party on Friday. It is probably the most beautiful girl I've spoken to in years - or since me and my ex split up. She introduced herself to me and we spoke for a little while. After that we had eye contact, probably 7-8 times that evening. Then I approached her again and we spoke again, now for 1 - 1:30 hours. She was so nice and funny and I had such a great time. She even touched my shoulder and said she thought I was cute - and I also said the same to her. After that, I had to leave as my ride was leaving the town. We decided to stay in touch and go out soon. Then I took her phone number, kissed her on the cheek and left. Why am I hesitating?? I'm crazy about this girl, and she seems to like me. I keep start thinking if she was drunk and doesn't remember the evening as well as I do (though I was drunk as well). My main relationship with girls for the past 2-3 years have been one night stands. Therefore I'm so afraid to blow this chance. All because my ego seems to be a little down as of now. Anyone with some advice to a lost cause like me??
kassy Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Maybe it's because you finally met someone who you think has potential to be someone you want to actually date and that's a little scary. But then I actually don't know haha I wouldn't worry about it, I mean you don't really know her, and if she can't remember everything from the night it doesn't matter as long as she remembers she had fun and thought you were cute (which if she wasn't paraletic she probably can). So why not just give her a call and ask her out. If she says no... I'm pretty sure the world isn't going to explode, life will go on and after a quiet beer with the boys you'll bounce back. You just have to remember, you really don't know her so don't have too high expectations and you can only be pleasantly surprised. Now pick up the phone and call her!

SomewhatExperienced Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I would like to add, from my own experience, when you do call her and see her don't be surprised if it seems a little awkward between you two when you meet. It's happened to me a few times and I think both parties remember the connection they had that night and want it back, but they're not sure if the other person was just drunk and if they're going to connect the same way when they're sober. You can, but it'll take some signals on your part to put her mind at ease.
