Barky Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Barky, I disagree with you. Distance shouldn't matter to anyone and I am willing to bet most would agree. I have several friends that are now happily married that had long distance relationships. So her living 6 hours away didn't mean anything because when she completed her masters degree this month she was starting to interview for jobs here in my city...or so she said. I talked with this person for hours and hours because we really enjoyed (so I thought) each other. After all, isn't that the way you get to know someone? That said I'm no longer contemplating driving there. Well, your way didn't work, did it? Maybe if you take some advice from the more knowledgeable men here, next time you might get what you want. Hey?
Sharla Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Ct my friend met someone while she was on vacation a few years back, he lived in Seattle and he asked her to come out and visit him when she got back to her hometown. She liked him but tried to justify every reason why it wouldn't work out. I told her to be hopeful and just go. She ended up going, they had an LDR for a few weeks but it fizzled out. So sometimes the distance is too much for people and that could be a factor for her. In your case, I think she got cold feet or something but she should have at least told you that. I think online dating is hard for this very reason.
Author ctwatlanta Posted March 7, 2010 Author Posted March 7, 2010 Barky, well what's your advice? All you did was ask questions and imply that if she lived closer, and I hadn't talked to her for hours then all would be fine.
xpaperxcutx Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 I don't get it. The point of having email, telephone and texting is so you can reach a person. You left mesage after message and still no reply. It's not even about being flaky now. She's completely ignoring you.
sunshinegirl Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 OP, whatever happened with this? What a stressful decision you had to make - I assume you didn't go to visit her. Did you eventually hear from her? Inquiring minds want to know.
