HUBBY: 33, no kids, loves us all heaps but wants a child of his own some day.

Why can't you have kids through IVF? It's done all the time.

We will try IVF but with my age and our financial constraints we wont be able to try forever.....

Beyond IVF, there is adoption, a possible surrogate, even foster children can be very rewarding.

I certainly would not throw away a marriage because you cannot have children...

Are other issues that are present?

To answer your question. No, don't push him away. Don't even seriously contemplate it.

Talk to him about this. Don't push him away. As others have stated, there are many other options. Why not adopt?

If you love this man then you will not push him away. You both will work thru this.

Give him the respect he deserves as a human being. Let him make his own choice.

In the short run, you may feel justified playing the martyr. In the long run, it boils down to you not having the decency to respect him enough to allow him his own choice in the matter.

Sorry I'm harsh but it is what it is. Hope this wakes you up.
