SummerLady Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) If your SO brings up his ex here and there is that an issue? People do have lives before they are with us right? My one good friend always complains that he brings up his ex but its never out of context in my opinion. Like this: When I bought a house with my ex, this is what happened. Its never like he brings her up and crys or makes a fuss out of her. My friend is sensitive as I am but I think she is making a big deal out of it. However if she feels that way, who am I to judge. I just don't know what to say to her anymore. She complains about this once a month. Thoughts, advice...I give up. Forgot one thing, one time like 1 year ago he mentioned to her that when he was dumped he had some unresolved issues and was real hurt. So I think she feeds off of this. We all have unresolved issues and this woman lives far away... Edited March 2, 2010 by SummerLady
threebyfate Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 There was another member who previously brought up her issues about being jealous of exes. She seemed to respond well to the comparison of: Women who are jealous of exes are like men who worry about exes penis sizes and whether they positively "compare".
Fouts Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It depends, when someone regularly works their ex into conversation there's usually something there. Depends on how often and the context I suppose.
