lovebound Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 The best friend of the guy I am dating told him that "she is a keeper", when talking about me. My guy made a point to tell me that one nite. I am hispanic so i am not quite familiar with all the phrases in english, can someone tell me what exactly does that mean?
Jersey Shortie Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It means she is one of the good ones and to not dump her. You must "keep her" around.
carhill Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 When read in the light of this thread, I find myself asking 'how do you feel about this dynamic?' I ask this because I'm getting the sense that you're not seeing clear positive actions and words from this guy which make sense to *you*. Are you dating a man of another culture (than Hispanic)? If so, did you have similar questions when dating Hispanic men, or not? Somehow I think communication is involved here. Help me out
Odyssey Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It means you're good to keep around. Just words... they're meaningless if not followed through with...action. The truth is, if they think you're dating material, then they'll treat you like a date. If he's ready to be at the bf/gf stage... then he'll treat you exclusively. Same goes for marriage. So...pay close attention to action also.
scatterd Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It means as it sounds you are a keeper good enough to take home to mom and dad a good girl.go girl
Disillusioned Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 It means you are good for a serious relationship... the opposite of a "player".
Tnerforireyeh Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 It means you are good for a serious relationship... the opposite of a "player". No, for women the opposite is "ugly."
