What college courses attract the most girls?

So like I said a whole bunch of times before, I moved back home after years away at college last summer. I lost track of all of my college friends because when we graduated, we all moved back home to different parts of the country. I'm back home but I don't know anyone around here.

I live in a pretty sleepy suburban (almost rural) town. There really is not much around here. A lot of you have said taking dance classes or yoga or sports clubs or whatever to meet women, but seriously, I HAVE looked into those, and there are so few in or around my town. And even in the few there are, I haven't seen any girls my age (much less, single attractive ones) which is why I was really adamant about meeting girls in clubs in the city; there really aren't that many options here in my hometown.

But then I found out that lectures at our State U. (in fact, I think at all State U's) are open to the general public. Granted, few non-students rarely take up the opportunity, but really, anyone is allowed to walk into a class and sit down and listen, even if they're not enrolled. It's pretty close to my job and I can always drop by for a lecture or two on my way home from work in the evenings.

I'm saving up to go to grad school in 2 years, and since I got back home, I've been spending a lot of free time just re-reading old textbooks and lecture notes to stay sharp for when I finally do. I realized it would be a lot easier to just drop in on evenings or Saturday mornings and listen to lectures. Then I realized this is probably an opportunity to meet girls as well.

Maybe I miss college life, but in all honesty, after nightclubs, I really think this is my best opportunity to meet girls. What kinds of college courses attract a lot of girls? I really don't know because I studied mostly math and science courses and most of the students were guys. All the girls I met weren't from class but from parties and school events.

Multivariable calculus.

But they'll only like you if you're good at it.

Stay away from math, science, and engineering...if you're going for sheer volume of females...

Seriously, just out of curiosity, I attended a graduate-level physics course one time; 19 guys, 1 female.

Well you can go about this two ways. Pick classes based on the percentage of girls or pick classes you're actually well-versed in (interested in) so that you and the girl you meet will have something in common.

Business classes tend to be pretty 50 50 at my school if you're into that. Education is predominantly feminine.

I was an electrical engineering major...I know what it's like...having no females in a class, even at a large school, was definitely not uncommon...

Just start going to grad school now. May I ask what your goal is for a career after grad school?

Oh and if you see pretty girls in line at the bank, or at the supermarket, cofee place ect... then why aren't you just hitting on those women?

Like I said, girls just don't go out by themselves. ESPECIALLY the young attractive ones. Most girls go out with friends or boyfriends; rarely on their own.

Seeing a young attractive girl on her own is like seeing a shooting star, or a fox in your back yard. Yes, it happens from time to time and when it does, it's really pretty, but it's so rare that you're going to be disappointed most of the time if you go out and knowingly, deliberately look for it.

your best choice is in either courses that are applied towards a major in healthcare or education.

Girls in your town never do their errands alone?

First off if you're at the mall watching a movie or what ever you are going to see pretty girls. I agree most of them will atleast be with one other girl. You shouldn't let one other girl stop you. Where I live, I see attractive girls alone all the time. I see a pretty girl eating lunch alone at a resteraunt, or shopping alone in the mall. I guess its just not as rare to see pretty girls where I live.

There aren't attractive 18-22 year old girls in my town!

I don't live in LA or Chicago or NYC! I live in a rural town of 6,000. Half of this town is farmland and forest. The only "girls" here are highschoolers or those tiny few that did NOT go off to college (if there are any) and 30-something women who're moving in after they married to buy a home and start a family.

There isn't a semblance of 20-something social life here.

How many times do I gotta explain this?!

So he lives in a small town. Doesn't he ever drive half an hour over to the next town to shop at the mall or something. You don't have to live in NYC or LA to see cute girls doing every day things like sitting in the park, or drinking tea, or reading a book ect.

Take a 'womens Studies" course. You'll be surrounded by women. Most of them angry and bitter about men, but you never know.

Pyschology. I know lots of my good looking gfs took that in college.

Women's Studies.

Sincerely,

Charming.

I haven't read all your threads and I (mistakenly) understood that the State U you referenced in your OP was in your town, which would have meant that there would have been 20 years old there.

Like I said, I study biotech, and it's a really male-heavy field.

And I've never been convinced that you have to have anything in common with a girl you're dating. Ever heard of "opposites attract?" It's true in dating just as much as it is in science.

Also, will girls be wierded out by a guy who goes to college even though he's not enrolled?

I'm not exactly sure what I want to do. I have a generic biotech degree and I'm still deciding how to specialize (I'm thinking virology and/or pathology)

I'm working and saving so I can enter with as few student loans as possible. I don't want to graduate up to my eyeballs in debt.

Plus, I kinda want to get a head start and study what there is to learn BEFORE I enroll for courses, so I know what to expect from the classes and get good grades, and not get taken by surprise and overwhelmed at some point.

Nursing 90%+ female. Biology too, since most nurses have to take it as a pre-requisite.

I can speak with firsthand knowledge that it sure as hell isn't engineering.

Are you serious?? You're gonna choose your course based on which one has more girls?!?!?

Like I said, I've already graduated. I'm talking about free college lectures that I can drop by in my spare time. I'm not enrolling.
