Fun, entertaining book with a great message. Sometimes it seems people aren't reading the whole book to get to the message part.

Do tell! Remember, I'm reading this thread.

But then OTOH, if my book gets on the bestseller list soon, I won't need pick-up lines, if you catch my drift.

And if not, there are still 7 more books I want to write. Heck with the critics, self-publish!:p

It definitely works, the "embedded commands" and such.

I haven't read the book, but this caught my attention. I'm a professional writer, so I make a living with my words. And I've begun expanding my business, and have hired my first employees, so I am learning more about how to communicate with people to produce desired results.

The power of communication is almost immeasurable. Anyone who wants to succeed in relationships and in life will invest heavily in learning how to communicate effectively.

Embedded commands work because most people respond very predictably to being told what to do -- they do what they are told.

That's really interesting, Ruby Slippers. I'd love to hear more... I think I recognize where you're going with this. My brother went to these courses teaching how to persuasively communicate. Similar?

Definitely. In writing and in speech, there are many psychological devices you can use to influence the behavior of others. As with any power, these can be used for good or evil. :)

My only experience with these method's pupils is guys who were probably woefully awkward to being with being so sold on the reasons why it should work for everyone that they throw little tantrums when it gets the same results they had without trying to pull the tricks they learned. Angry little fellas (and no, I'm not talking about their actual size).
