I didn't really start to wear suits until I got them tailored to fit (I wear coveralls at work). A proper fit is crucial, both for look and comfort. A well-tailored suit in the right fabric should feel effortless and natural.

I'm used to military service uniforms that are excessively tailored to the body, and I can wear those things all day and feel good...but when I wear the ill-fitting suits I currently own which don't fit my body quite as closely, I feel very blah... I actually went suit shopping today and it was fun! Spent a lot of time at several places...looking forward to dropping a good chunk of money...

It at the very least means you have a job. It's another when it's late into the evening (like 10 or 11) and you walk into the bar/club with a suit- I think one thing: douche.

That said, a guy in a suit under the right circumstances can be just stupid hot. My ex and I got all dressed up on my birthday one year to go to this ritzy casino in Europe. He was wearing a black suit with a BLACK shirt and a RED tie. He looked like a badass King of Hearts. The fact that he was a killer gambler only added to the hotness quotient.
