sedgwick Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I am finding that I've made great strides in coping in the past month, since I decided to go to Mexico for nine months to teach dance and write my next book. One positive effect my breakup has had on my life is that I've become determined to be the very best version of myself I can be. He's not holding back on pursuing his dreams, why should I? So I ask you tonight -- what is your wildest dream? What would you be doing with your life if you could do anything you wanted? Not something like, "I'd be a billionaire," or "I'd have a harem," but the life you think would leave you most fulfilled. And it can't have anything to do with your ex, either! Once I decided I was going to go after my dream full-blast, it came true, and it's still coming true. I firmly believe that with enough hard work, you can do anything you want. So what do you want, and how can you get it?
shadowplay Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 My wildest dream is to be a filmmaker that makes films which are meaningful to me and (hopefully) some other people. I'd like to be successful enough that I don't constantly need to worry about money, but I don't need or expect to be famous or well off. I just want to make films that are close to what I imagine in my head, that convey the feel I'm going for. If I can achieve that, I can basically die happy. Other things like love, material gain, kids, etc., are nice but they're all lower priorities to me.
paleblue Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 if i could do whatever i wanted i would open up a huge saltwater fish store and have huge saltwater aquariums all over the place with corals and all that. i would promote propagation of home grown corals rather than ones taken from the reefs. i used to have a 270 gal salt water fish tank and i still wish i had it.
McGrupp Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 i do improv and write sketch comedy in NYC. its always been a hobby. but since the breakup ive decided to make it my purpose. to get paid to be funny in some way. my priorities used to be: her comedy job now its: comedy job girls in its proper order for once.
Author sedgwick Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 I can't believe more people aren't responding! Come on, folks, I want to hear it!
Ilovecake Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Photography has always been my passion. I really wanted to buy some new equipment that we would get in fights about because somehow he always needed something more or I would find out he hasn't paid the gas bill in 7 months and we have to send a $1000 before they shut it off. Even though since we broke up financially things have been difficult, after much saving and scrounging I bought a new digital camera.
annxxdisaster Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 To finish my schooling and get a fancy Ph.D in some sort of Psychology. But mostly, I want to be a positive impact one person's life. Somehow, someway inspire one person to do something to better themselves or their life.
