yesterday I was at work and we were talking about how I go fake tanning and.this guy I work with was like why dont you just tan at your house and starts talking about like how he tans naked at his house(jokingly) and we get to talking about being in our bathing suits outside and how my neighbor is weird, and he also tries to make me laugh and tease me about stuff and has these lil nicknames for me ALL the time.. and I also talked about how I think a man thought I was looking into the bathroom and wasn't, and he told me he would have whipped out his..you know to show me(said he was also joking but sometimes i dunno) but I always notice he stares at me often and every chance he gets he tries and talks to me he usually teases me and messes around and stuff but it seems like he's starting to talk a little dirty now, but im wondering if hes tryin to sleep with me or somethin(thatd NEVER happen anyway).. do you think this is inappropriate talk? or is it just me?

That in my opinion is inappropriate, he's married and probably testing how far he can go with you. Engaging him in this type of flirting is encouraging him to continue and possibly try to take things in a very bad direction. I wouldn't go overboard and accuse him of flirting if I were you, but I would very politely keep the conversations the same as if his wife were sitting beside him. Best of luck to you!

He wants to have sex with you and clearly does not take you seriously or respect you as a colleague. If someone at my work did that, I wouldn't giggle and blush. I'd be in HR demanding the respect that is due to any other MALE colleague.

 

Then again, I guess it depends on what type of job you have and the dynamics between you. Even so, the fact that he is talking to you like this shows that he doesn't see you as much more than a potential sex target.
