sedgwick Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I will be on a plane to Mexico and my new home on the beach! How's that for coping?
melodymatters Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Well Sedge, we both know there are upsides and down sides to the " Geographical cure", but heck, if you have been staying in your house out of axiety about seeing douchey, then it's a fine step in the right direction. Now keep on doing positive sedgewick things, and let the obsession flow away with the calming ocean waters. You could be my sister, my daughter, my childhood friend. None of them are perfect but NONE of them need to keep punishing themselves and stop living life because ONE man didn't want a relationship with them ! Gorgeous, accomplished women get broken up with or cheated on all of the time. Sh*t happens and people are weird. Never give the keys of your existence to another human being. This YOUR time to heal up, be you, and enjoy every damn minute ! As you know, my husband drowned last May at 24 years old. Then Lyssa was in an accident and passed and now Caliguy is in critical condition. This ain't a dress rehearsal and f*ck anyone who doesn't enjoy OUR show !

TuesGirl Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Awesome! I feel like doing the same thing, except I have an awesome job and an awesome family nearby...but still...very jealous. I had a friend go teach in Thailand for a year after getting out of a 10 year relationship and it has been the best thing for her to be physically removed from where they lived. Good luck!!!

Sedge, you can check how things are going for CG in the Water Cooler forum. It's good to see you happy. Hold onto it. (There are a few questions awaiting your response, as far as I recall, on your last thread, btw.) x
Author sedgwick Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Questions? Eh? Will go check and see... Poor poor Caliguy, oh my god...speechless... On a positive note, I think I've decided to spend the first three months at an ashram on the beach doing five hours of yoga a day. I need some serious shaking up both mentally and physically. I am ready to give up all this pain and heartache and move on to a new chapter in my life, but I feel like there's a lot of trauma bound up in my body. I was a walking sports injury before the breakup; I mean, I'm a 38-year-old dancer, my body is beat up! On top of that I sustained a fairly serious shoulder injury a year ago which continues to cause pain. Fixing my mind and my body have to go hand-in-hand, and now that I've realized that I hope to make some progress. If sweating it out doing yoga in the jungle for 90 days doesn't get him out of my system, I'm jumping off a bridge!!!! Oh, and MM, I got your message, thank you so much, I think you're swell too!
