But i did meet one nice girl once a few years ago that had the same name as my mum. All attraction and phwoa factor was immediately lost! I'm just curious.....and if you did was it not really weird?!
tigressA Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I would never be able to date someone with the same name as my dad...it would freak me out beyond the telling of it. I did date a guy whose name is the same as my brother's...not sure why I didn't find it weird, but it lasted only for a month. Lesson learned.

threebyfate Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 No, that would be too close for comfort. My ex has the same name as a good friend who is the husband of another good friend. We used to each use "my" or "your", to differentiate. Now she uses "my" and I just use his name.

Johnny M Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Dated a girl who had the same name as my mom once. Didn't find it weird in the slightest. If this kind of thing freaks you, it's a sure sign of deeply rooted, unresolved mommy/daddy issues and a visit to the psychiatrist would be in order.
