tarasmith16 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 iv been through the ldr before without seeing my partner for months at a time and it ended badly for me because he was my first love and I didn't want it to end. iv just started dating a guy and it happens to be long distance again. I love this man and he loves me. he comes up to see me one day out of the week but I miss him constantly and I know we wont be together everyday until I finish my degree which is in three years time. I get attention from men generally but love having this strong a connection to this guy. can it work? or should I look for a guy that can be with me. it sounds selfish but does he deserve more as well?
Imnotsure Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I'm always being told that long distance relationships can work if you both want it enough. There's a good chance he feels exactly the same way about you, and it's not selfish. What would be selfish is to decide for him. Next time you're together maybe you could talk about it? If you've been going out for a fairly long time it shouldn't be hard to bring it up, especially when the day is almost up.
nowomanocry Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 As I had a bad experience myself I think you should definitely stay away from a LDR and be with someone where you live a normal relationship , skin to skin, face to face, breath to breath Good luck hun

Bottom line here, when faced with the distance.. you both have to really want it to work.. and try hard to make that happen. If both your heart's are in it.. and there is trust on both sides, then I believe the chances are good. But, it's really all up to you. Good luck. Mea:)
