Go to your stylist and get them to try Bed Head for men, on you. The Matte Separation workable wax product, gives your hair a more natural finish, rather than something too stiff or shiny. H. uses it and it's not bad.

Heh I've yet to actually select a stylist since moving here. I'll keep those brands in mind though -- thanks!

It's hard to keep curls "clean" because I have hair going all over the place, haha. Still looks alright even up close?

I definitely think I'm going to try to keep it up more often from now on, though.

EDIT: Wow that sounded... wrong. :lmao:

Yes, it still looks fine. Work around your widow's peak by growing your bangs a little longer, then work both sides of the widow's peak up, on either side of the peak and bring the bangs down. Let me see if I can find an example of this.

Makes sense -- sort of "synthesizing" a straighter frontend appearance, I am assuming?

If you mean somehow minimalizing the widow's peak effect, no. If anything, you should maximize it, which is why you would push up either side of the widow's peak higher and grow your bangs a touch longer. The only time to minimalize a widow's peak, is if your hairline is receding at the corners. This isn't a problem you have.

A widow's peak face is heartshaped. Don't try to hide this, since it shortens your face. You want to lengthen your face, which is why the minute you pushed your bangs back and higher, it looked better.

Ahhh I see, I see. Very cool -- I'll have to experiment a bit once I grow out a little more.

I'm a hairstylist, and I say you could do pretty much anything! You have a good strong bone structure and versatile face shape so you could go shorter. But your hair texture leads me to believe you'd have some natural wave if you were to let it grow? If that's the case, maybe grow it out a bit, BUT keep it trimmed regularly and well groomed! Poofy overgrown skater hair that hangs in your face is not hot.

PS - you're super cute! ;)

Why so? It feels the exact opposite to me. I've always had such a hard time when it comes to women.

I've had two 2-year relationships and that's about it, really. I don't consider myself inexperienced once I get in the door, but the initial stages of simply meeting/progressing to the point of being one-on-one dating are just ridiculously difficult for me.

Yah don't sweat it, you're a good looking guy, and judging by your posts here you have a good head on your shoulders and a great attitude. Your age group (early 20's) is a rough time for men in terms of dating (which is even harder since by contrast women have it so easy during our early 20's!) but trust me, it won't last forever. :)

I wonder if perhaps I should just hyperleverage online dating sites or something. Bars are just.... haha. XD

Either that or I start creepin' the bookstores/libraries, or take some language classes to brush up and hope I meet a cute girl looking to do the same. :p
