I would say the amount of time I have approached a guy are equal to the amount of times I have been approached by a guy I did find interesting and sent signals for him to pick up on.

But both instances are out numbered by the times a guy I had no interest in approached me. Personally, I could do without those instances. They are usually awkward moments where in I end up feeling bad about having to turn them down when I know they took all the initiative.

But then, I'm tired of guys thinking they should get special extra credit just for putting themselves out there. Yeah, it took guts, but it doesn't mean I have to say yes.

I'd at least like to know I'm at my best before I approach people. XD Otherwise I'd always wonder what I could have done differently. If I feel confident upon approach and get knocked away, I'd honestly feel like it was no big loss because I was at my best.

Right now, I'm not sure I feel that way about myself, you know? I honestly have no idea how others perceive me. I know the right answer is probably "Why care about that?", but I do think that you need certain elements in place before confidence augments it all (as opposed to expecting it to replace or compensate).

I can't seem to be able to open the links you posted in this thread Vertex, but I remember from a past thread that you are very goodlooking.

And honestly, that isn't the only thing that matters. For instance, I was drawn to my bf (who, granted, is extremely goodlooking in my opinion) because he always has a smile on his face and seemed super-easy going. Turned out I was reading the cues right and he is very easy-going. The fact he seemed super easy-going and comfortable in his own skin also made me comfortable sending him 'signals' that I was interested.

What I'm saying is, there is no "perfect look" to attract women. Go out, have fun, be comfortable being yourself and, more importantly, try to look approachable (so that women will feel comfortable smiling at you and giving you signals).
