guy.lepage Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 OK I admit it, I've always been very bad at this. When a woman asks me out, I can never tell whether she's interested or just being friendly. Of course, I exclude all of my long time female friends, I know what they have in mind already! But what about co-workers, schoolmates and other acquaintances? It seems like there's always some kind of ambiguity that I can't read properly. Any thoughts?
alphamale Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 thats why u should be doing the asking out
Author guy.lepage Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 thats why u should be doing the asking out I agree, and I do. But there were many times when the woman was just faster than me or I was simply not expecting it. I could never set my expectations right in those situations.
soulm8 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Women are generally taught that it's proper for the man to initiate the first move. Smart women go out of their way (sometimes) to try get that ball rolling by showing interest... If a woman asks you for a date... she's most likely attracted to you and hoping it's mutual so that you will want to take it further.
Art_Critic Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 She brings a friend with her I had the same problem with some dates when I was younger and just learned to alter my conversation to those women that it was tough to tell change the dialog some to include some talk that was somewhat relationship like .. I'm not saying your do nothing but talk about sex or whatever but just a few words here and there to gauge her reaction and that should help you know.. Paying attention to the dialog of the conversation.. even if you don't want to add a few words of preference should let you know how she feels.. If she mentions the word friends then that isn't good.. If she mentions dating other guys then that isn't good.. those type of things are what you should pay attention to...
DustySaltus Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Just say...."like a date"? *wink wink* If they give you a short laugh combined with embarrasment...you're in. If they give either a long laugh or complete silence....get ready for another female friend.
Jeff1962 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 thats why u should be doing the asking out Hold on there Hoss. I was usually the one asked out and approached, I always played it cool, women chased me and believe me it was not difficult to achieve at all. My wife asked me out on our first date. To the OP, play along. What do you have to loose? If you can't tell once you get into the date if she is interested then I cannot help you at all. It's an instinct unless she is very foreward. Go with it and if it goes south, apologize and tell her you misread her signals. If you are honest and a gentleman, she will respect you. Go for it but don't be an ass.
