Archduke Chocula Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 So I met a pretty cool girl the past Friday. She gave me her number and she insisted that I call her. I've called twice now (Saturday & Sunday) and both times she sent back texts indicating she was busy. The tones of them were apologetic for being unable to return the call, and it seemed she was genuinely interested in getting in touch eventually. Today I simply just sent a text, not wanting to get sent to voicemail again, asking her a convenient time to call, and no response all day. Should I give up on this? I don't know if it's worth the effort of calling a third time if she's really not interested (strange considering how we were interacting in person, plus why would she send back texts anyway? But it happens I guess). Any thoughts?
D-Lish Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I wouldn't pursue it. Nothing about her behaviour sounds encouraging. Sounds like she was probably looking for an ego boost.
counterman Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 No matter how busy someone is, they will always find time to call you if they're really interested. Don't worry about calling her a third time and move on to something else. If she calls you, you can decide if you're still interested.
Author Archduke Chocula Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 Yeah, you guys are probably right. Thanks.
Austen Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I'm a female, and I can tell you--she's just not that into you. Sorry
meerkat stew Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 No, don't give up. Tell her you are Archduke Chocula, and you will turn her Blackberry into a Boo-Berry if she doesn't call you back. Then if she doesn't respond, can it. Great username btw.
tami-chan Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Don't call again. If she is interested she will get in touch with you...the ball is in her court...you already made the calls. I rarely answer my personal phone when I am working. It is just how it is. At the end of the day I check my calls and try and return calls, BUT, usually it is already very late when I get to my messages-so my response will have to wait the next day... What I am saying is, her non-pick-up might not be a brush off...give her a chance.

I wish I could take credit for it, but I got it from Futurama
