I have in the past spent V Day with MM during the day. I've opened gifts, put them on and enjoyed them together with him, then he'd go home and out for an evening with W and friends where he would call me throughout the evening telling me tidbits and gossip. He wanted our day to last through the evening and calling me several times created that for him.

He would also convey how sloshed he had become during these calls which hinted at the fact that nothing would 'happen' later that evening due to drunk----.:p

After D Day #2 and his subsequent time out for counseling I have rarely seen him. Yet, I received the biggest and most beautiful bouquet at work from him with a card full of wonderful words.

I was already so happy about his counseling but the flowers just sent me over the edge.

Spent last years valentines day together but this year the H wasn't away so only spoke on the phone instead.

We have spent every Valentine's together since we first started. This time it was pretty low key due to everything else we have done over the last few months. This man is one of the most romantic guys I have ever known. But he sent me flowers and then we met up for dinner. It was quite lovely.

We did book a trip together for the spring that I am super excited about!

I sabatoged VD for us, when I was with xMM. I told him he should spend it with his W and I did not want to buy him anything. It just felt silly to me. He was angry and upset. Probably because he wanted to control the situation. I think I would rather have fidelity than to spend VD being pampered, than being lied to the other 364 days of the year.

We just had two huge blizzards producing more than 20 feet of snow and this woman calls to ask me to help her dig her car out. Finally, she has to dig her car out with her boyfriend in the house-on the computer. Then, she calls me to say he asked her out to dinner for VD. Another woman spent VD in the house with her sweety after they spent the week transporting her employees to the hospital due to inclement weather. I spent VD doing coursework.

If it's not real, I couldn't give a hoot. If you have something real, every day is VD :). Keep on pushing.

I did not spend Valentine's Day with My Sweetheart this year but it had to do with the day of the week on which it fell, not the fact that it was a holiday. Had it fallen on a Monday or any other 'work' day, I have no doubt he would have been with me. As it stands, I know he was missing me and thinking of me, and wishing he was with me. I know because he called and told me so, and popped online numerous times to let me know he was thinking of me... and he came to kiss me the next day. and the next day... goodnight! :)

My sweety and I had dinner and went out, then came home and had a good romp. He gave me a card - not romantic, but funny and SO him. It had Homer Simpson on the front, and he was saying, "You and I sitting in a tree, kisi... um... kissg... wait." Then on the inside it said, "Awww, spelling's for losers. Let's make out!" Spelling is not my baby's forte, so it was very appropriate. lol Russell Stover candy which I did NOT need, but which he helped eat. :p I made him his favorite cake with that pain in the arse frosting - the kind you cook milk and flour on the stove, cream the sugar into the butter, etc. etc. etc. He loved it!
