brockreiman Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 6 months ago i suffered a very rare muscle injury in my chest that required an extensive surgery. I was laid up for weeks. My girlfriend of 3 years was by my side right before i went in to be fixed. About 4 weeks later she decided to go another direction. I was devastated, nothing i could do would bring her back. I actually was depressed severely for months.So i decided to go nocontact on her for about 4 months. Just last night at 130 in the morning she texted me and said hey...then 3 mins later she writes sorry i didn't mean to txt you. I said OK? then she said well i needed someone to talk to and i figured you would be up. I said whats wrong and she told me that she has to have surgery on both her knees? she is 18 and i'm 20. We talked for a while about stuff and then decided to to both go to sleep. She told me that she was sorry to bother me. What i don't get is why txt me? of all people to txt. After a 6 month break up where she told me she has a new boyfriend why don't she txt him? Do you think she will text me again. Is she really sorry to bother me? Cuz i don't think she txted me accidentally. Should i just not get my hopes up.
Ronni_W Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Yes, I agree with you - do not get your hopes up. Maybe she did text her b/f first, but his phone was off, or out of range, or out of juice. Or maybe she just had a tiny, temporary moment of weakness. Texting you doesn't necessarily mean anything important to her...so I wouldn't read anything into it. Similarly, "Sorry to bother you" is often just a reflexive thing to say. Again, there's no point for you to give it any meaning. I trust that your recovery/rehab is on-track, and wish you good health.

kwyser Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 She may still have feelings for you. Of course it could also mean that she just wants someone to talk to and figured you could be that person to comfort her. I wouldn't get your hopes up too much at this point.
