BettyBoop Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I believe that a man will propose when he is ready to. I agree with the others that pushing for it and dropping hints usually make the men feel more like they *don't* want to marry you. That happened to my boyfriend with his ex. He proposed to his first g/f and she never dropped any hints or anything. But the next one would leave engagement ring stuff all around the house and make hints constantly. No surprise to say she never got the question. I for myself feel that a guy should know what he wants to do with me after 2-3 years together. If he still feels like he isn't sure if I am the one for him after that...then I would leave. Unless of course I feel that he is the one for me regardless and that I can be fine staying with someone who does not yet feel like asking me to marry him. I think you simply have to go by the way you feel. Is he more important to you than marriage? Can you deal with him never wanting to marry you? Only you know..
