dreamer122 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 What are the signs visual and vocal signs to a woman that is lying?
silverfish Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 What are the signs visual and vocal signs to a woman that is lying? I don't know about women (apart from the joke about 'when their lips move' that I'll just get in before any men do ) But one sign with my kids is that they look up when they are telling you something, fiddling, or playing with their hands, and the ears go red. I think people just get better at hiding it when they're older
alg24 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 When I lie ( I am not great at lying) I don't look people in the eye- if I have to I don't do it well... I look down at the ground. I get nervous and can giggle or start to laugh. I fiddle... My voice might change-- higher pitch or rushed... Also, I might tell a big story and talk in circles...
Sadbutrelieved Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 When my ex lied, which was basically all the time, I would occasionally throw in a question he wasn't expecting and got the same result every time. First he'd go "hmmm?" like he hadn't heard me, which then gave him a few seconds while I repeated the question to think of his answer. Pathetic actually. Everyone has different signs I suppose.
carhill Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Backstory I think the poster who opined about lip movement probably was spot-on
stuckinoz Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 My husband bites his lip when he's lying & changes the subject. -Quickly He doesn't even have a clue that he's doing it.
