Valentines Day, that is.

I know it's a cliche holiday that shouldn't be taken seriously to the max, or

serious at all, but it does bring out certain expressions in relationships.

For me, it is something that I thought of as a fun thing until last year. I ended up being asked by someone to be their "valentine" and ended up having a relationship shortly after that, only to lead to a super serious relationship. Then months later led to a very painful and heart shattering breakup, then getting back together, then breaking up, and eventually ended up drifting apart.

So I'm living the single life, not dreading that man anymore, but I do have this lonely feeling because I don't have a valentine in my life.

Does anyone feel this too, or am I retarded? lol

Nope, last year and the year before I was single around valentines. It wasn't sobbing-on-the-couch-eating-tons-of-ice-cream painful but it did suck watching all the couples everywhere holding hands and making out on the streets (I'm not exaggerating). But don't fret, there are a bunch of things for single people to do on valentines, just gotta find them and have a little fun with it. get your mind off of last year and just focus on having a "single" day with your other single friends. Remember, Misery loves company :)
